As you have well written, this natural extension of thought was considered from the beginning by Mr. Darwin himself. Having grown up in a scientific household, it was easy to see how much weight could be brought to bear by any idea postulated in the name of science. Its intellectually dishonest to have the scientific community hold forth some of Darwin's theories as irrefutable while totally ignoring their logical conclusions. It goes to show that man is truly wanting to be captain of his own ship by picking and choosing his own belief system.
